Dihovo day fifteen 8/10/15

Dihovo

8th October Thursday

day fifteen Via Egnatia -Macedonia

After a little sleep in, we have a fabulous breakfast, then as it's not raining we go exploring around the village of Dihovo.
Interesting way to deliver firewood!
Beautifully textured buildings made of stone are throughout the village
We decide to walk along the river / creek path and explore, it's very peaceful.
A rickety bridge...
Patrick is a bit dubious, but cautiously crosses the rustic bridge.
We continue on and find a lovely little waterfall and pool, would be the perfect spot in Summer...

I love the textures and colours of the rock buildings and mossy terracotta tile roofs.
Everyone has their red peppers hanging up to dry! Such a colour contrast.
Such a lovely village and surrounding countryside! All it needs is a little Bar for a coffee....
Timber doors and shutters
The vege garden at Villa Dihovo, lots of peppers, tomatos, cucumbers...
Patrick sampling a beer brewed by Pece.
Pece checking on the latest batch of wine.
We have another delicious local dinner with red wine in front of the fire!
Good night... Fingers crossed for sunshine tomorrow.

Another accommodation option I've just found is in Bukovo called Villa Bukovo, run by Toni Krrstevski - on air B&B looks lovely and can sleep up to 4 people. Email krstevskitoni@yahoo.com it looks as though it's very close to the VET rail, Bukovo would make a good base to explore Bitola
